Deanna has 19 years’ experience acting for clients across a large number of industries with a focus on property and commercial matters. As part of her experience, she spent nine years working in London in the Real Estate teams of multinational law firms undertaking complex, high quality development work. Deanna’s experience includes development and construction, subdivisions, due diligence and acquisitions, commercial leasing and property finance.
More recently, she has been involved in a number of significant New Zealand based developments around the country including rural acquisitions for the purpose of redevelopment, large scale subdivisions and developments, office tower refurbishments and leasing. These transactions have included a wide range of construction and redevelopment considerations, resource management issues and water rights acquisitions.
Deanna’s in-house experience in a property development firm has developed a deeper understanding of the demands on the client-side and the need for practical and timely advice with a focus on good communication. During her career, Deanna has presented several seminars and webinars on various topics, most recently the impact of Covid-19 restrictions on construction contracts.
Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2002.
